Named after one of the oldest oak-lined squares dotting downtown Savannah, Telfair is Sugar Land's newest 2,018 acre master-planned community located on U.S. 59 South, with the main entrance at University Blvd., just south of State Highway 6. Telfair is planned as a tapestry of landscaped neighborhood squares, offering residents places to gather amid shady live oaks and fragrant magnolias. Splashing fountains, vine-covered walls and wrought iron flourishes will echo the Savannah theme.
The Telfair master plan devotes 300 acres to recreational amenities, including an approximately 70-acre lake and park system that will wind throughout the community, along with a proposed City of Sugar Land regional park that will also be approximately 70 acres. In addition to the neighborhood squares, Telfair is planned to have three major recreation centers, offering amenities such as swimming pools, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, sports fields and playgrounds.
